Sponsor an Island Child

Through the Sponsor an Island Child Programme, disadvantaged children that are excellent school students on Likoma Island can be supported throughout their secondary schooling. Around 100 students across several schools are funded every year.

Likoma Schools Upliftment

The Foundation invests funding and on-the-ground support to several nursery, primary and secondary schools on Likoma Island through the employment of teachers, running feeding programs, and providing learning materials and school infrastructure.

Likoma Community Garden

Plants for Likoma Community Reforestation Project

The Foundation has supported the establishment of a community-run garden by a small group of women on Likoma Island in Lake Malawi. We continue to support them in running and managing the Tiyanjane Garden (tiyanjane means ‘togetherness’), which supplies Kaya Mawa Lodge and the surrounding villages with fresh produce through a more sustainable supply chain.
