Our foundation has provided dedicated funding for this program, which has now trained 34 Zambian women by pairing them to experienced women from ZCP’s senior management. The trainees received one-on-one mentorship and hands-on training in all aspects of field-based conservation, including research, data collection, ecological monitoring, and community outreach.
The program fosters more than technical knowledge. It builds confidence, strengthens peer networks, and nurtures leadership potential. By investing in women at this early stage, the program contributes to gender equity in conservation and strengthens the long-term sustainability and inclusivity of wildlife protection in Zambia
