We’re expanding our support to empower Zambian women in conservation through the Zambian Carnivore Programmes’s Women in Wildlife Conservation Training Programme (WIWC). 

This initiative, Zambia’s first of its kind, provides hands-on training and mentorship to aspiring female conservation leaders, addressing the historical underrepresentation of women in field conservation roles.

Since 2017, the WIWC program has trained over 34 Zambian women, pairing them with senior field experts for intensive instruction in research, data management, and conservation science. This program aims to strengthen both immediate conservation efforts and long-term leadership development.

With our Green Safaris Conservation Foundation’s support, we aim to cover the program’s financial needs and acquire essential equipment, including high-quality field cameras and laptops, to enhance training and monitoring capabilities.
