The Green Safaris Conservation Foundation is proud to support a meaningful partnership with Medic to Medic, a UK-based charity that provides scholarships and resources for trainee health professionals in low-resource settings like Malawi. With a severe national shortage – just two doctors per 100,000 people – Medic to Medic plays a vital role in strengthening the country’s healthcare system by funding tuition, medical equipment, and essential learning materials for students who would otherwise be unable to complete their training.
In 2023, the organization launched its elective placement program to raise sustainable funding for scholarships. For every international medical student hosted in Malawi, Medic to Medic can fund a scholarship for a local student. Green Safaris Foundation supports this initiative on Likoma Island, providing accommodation at Mango Drift Lodge and contributing to daily costs.
