Women In Tourism

The Women in Tourism Internship Program is a 9-month skills-development initiative by Green Safaris Conservation Foundation and African Bush Camps Foundation. It is designed to support young women from Livingstone in building pathways into the tourism and hospitality sector.

Conservation Education Clubs

Check Dams & Communal Gardens

In collaboration with By Life Connected, Green Safaris Conservation Foundation launched
its first check dam and communal organic garden in Mulendema in 2021.

Bamboo Plantations

As part of our long-term vision to combat deforestation driven by the demand for cooking
fuel and construction materials, Green Safaris Conservation Foundation worked together
with By Life Connected to launch a bamboo plantation pilot to create a renewable and
sustainable alternative.

Sustainable Stoves

One of the greatest pressures on Zambia’s natural ecosystems is the widespread use of
wood and charcoal for cooking.

Waste to Wealth

In many parts of rural Zambia, including the Greater Kafue Ecosystem (GKE), waste is a
growing environmental and health threat.

Kafue Wild Trail Run

In 2024, Green Safaris Conservation Foundation joined a new and memorable initiative:
the Kafue Wild Run.

Human Elephant Coexistence

Women in Wildlife – Zambian Carnivore Programme

Green Safaris Conservation Foundation is proud to support the Zambian Carnivore
Programme (ZCP) in its mission to develop and empower the next generation of female
conservation leaders in Zambia.

Safeguarding White Rhinos with Wine

Tongabezi Lodge by Green Safaris and Snow Mountain’s Renosterwacht Wines have united to
safeguard white rhinos in Mosi oa Tunya National Park.
